April sock

For april i have found a nice color work sock with an interesting heel construction. The designer is Tina Kuu from Finland and she has a lot of free patterns up on Ravelry if you want to have a look.

The name of the pattern is Ruusujuuri https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruusujuuri

This sock is designed 2017 and I think this pattern gives us a chance to work up some of our single skeins. I hope you will enjoy knitting it with me.

You will need two 50 gram skeins for the sock and some leftovers for the flowers.

This is what the designer wrights about her pattern

Ruusujuuri socks are knitted toe up. Both the toe and the heel turn are worked in Eye of Partridge to match the thickness of the stranded colorwork parts of the sock. Should you prefer not to use any beads, they can be substituted with yet another contrast color.

There is only one stitch count (72 sts) available, thus the width of the sock can be adjusted only by changing the gauge. The length of the foot and the leg are freely adjustable.

Sponsors for April

@maria.sev61 with her project bag

@järbogarn with 3 skeins of Junior raggi

The winner will be announced here later Nilan6. / grattis

    Hello Cias Bod,
    The Ruusujuuri heel is making my head spin; have you a video of how to do?

      Sorry to hear that you are struggling. I took it really slow and did exactly what is say in the pattern. There is no video for that heel. The designer has 4 videos in the pattern for techniques. Hope you will be fine / Cia
