We are now half way through #freesocks2020 and this is my socks I have knitted so far. I have still got one sock left to do for the April sock but…. I hope to get that mojo some day 🙂
I know that the lust for knitting can be a bit low in the summer, so for July we will knit a short ankel sock.
This sock comes in four sizes and is knitted on 2,25 mm needles. I think you can use more than one color on this sock if you want to.
I love the look of this little sock and I will definitely knit it in a nice summery color 🙂 and it is so perfect since I am so in to bubbles now. I hope you will give it a go.
The pattern is called ”Thunder and lightning” and is designed by Dawn Henderson.
NOTES
UPDATE, 11/4/2019
An error was found in the pattern. For anyone who’s already completed a pair, I apologize for not catching it sooner!
The Textured Ribbing Section is to be worked as follows:
Round 1: (p1, k1tbl, p2, k1tbl, p1) rep around
Round 2: (p1, k1tbl, k2, k1tbl, p1) rep around
The gentle chevron section, decorated with a row of bobble stitches, represents—you guessed it—yarn on a mountain! The socks are worked from the cuff-down with classic heel flap and gusset construction and the instep features an interesting, yet simple, textured ribbing. Written for 4 sizes, these socks are not only super fun to work, but can be made to fit an entire family of feet.
YARN
1 skein Bean Sprout by LolaBean Yarn Co. (80/20 Superwash Merino/Nylon, 400 yds/365m, 100g) or other sock weight yarn

Sponsores
In July @Järbogarn will be the sponsors with a sock yarn.
There will also be a needle cozy to go with the yarn of course, so generously gifted to us by a nice lady in Uk. Thank you so much 🙂
